Ardkeenan N.S. is a mainstream co- educational school, under the patronage of the Bishop of Elphin. Our school is situated five minutes drive from Athlone town, in the idyllic and picturesque parish of Drum. We cater for boys and girls from Junior Infants to Sixth class and currently have 85 pupils enrolled in our school.
We strive to provide highly quality learning experiences where every child is encourage and enabled to reach their full and unique potential. We are proud of the positive school atmosphere and tight knit school community that we can provide, an atmosphere that lends itself to effective learning and development for all of our pupils.

Upcoming Events
School Tours will be taking place this week with our Junior Infants to 2nd class travelling to Turoe Pet Farm on Wednesday. Our 3rd to 6th class pupils will be travelling to Emerald Park this Friday.
Active Week starts on Monday 9th June and runs through until Friday 13th June. Lots of active and fun activities have been planned for the week.
Graduation Mass takes place on Thursday 19th June in St. Brigid's Church in Drum.

We have just received the great news that our school can now proceed in the procurement of a hot lunch programme for the pupils in our school!!!
Well done to our pupils who took part in the recent Community Games events over the past few weeks and we wish those who have progressed to the next stages, the best of luck from the whole school Community.
Our solar panels have been installed on the school roof. We should be ready to use them over the next few weeks.
