Ardkeenan N.S. is a mainstream co- educational school, under the patronage of the Bishop of Elphin. Our school is situated five minutes drive from Athlone town, in the idyllic and picturesque parish of Drum. We cater for boys and girls from Junior Infants to Sixth class and currently have 85 pupils enrolled in our school.
We strive to provide highly quality learning experiences where every child is encourage and enabled to reach their full and unique potential. We are proud of the positive school atmosphere and tight knit school community that we can provide, an atmosphere that lends itself to effective learning and development for all of our pupils.

Swimming lesson #2 this Thursday for 1st to 4th class, with a six week programme taking place in Athlone Regional Sports Centre
School News
Catholic Schools Weeks takes place this week with a focus on the theme - ALIVE IN CHRIST - which allows us to explore what it means to be fully alive as a human being- living life to the full in Christ. Our school community will host a whole school assembly on the theme, along with our pupils taking part in a wide range of specifically age suitable lessons, again linked to the theme this year.
Fifth and Sixth class pupils will be starting a six week soccer programme with Bernice from Roscommon District Soccer
